The movie explores the controversy of one of the most active areas of the two terms of Brazil’s former president Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva: foreign policy. Based on interviews held with Celso Amorim, Lula’s Minister of External Relations, academics, journalists and opposition politicians, the movie intends to comprehend the government strategic motivations and the foreign policy interests at stake between 2003 and 2010. Using extensive recorded material, the feature film intends to relive the path from WTO Cancun Conference, in 2003, to the Tehran Declaration, in 2010, in order to discuss themes such as Brazil’s role in the world, multilateralism, regional integration, international security, South-South cooperation, and foreign policy as a strategy to Brazil’s socioeconomic development.
